It's a sad, sad phenomenon that despite all its beauty and grandeur, the Philippines is slowly becoming infamous for the things that but a few people are responsible for. Corruption in the government. The worst airport. Human trafficking.

Yes, you read that right. Human trafficking. Trafficking of people, especially women and children to a life of slavery and prostitution. If you thought slave markets were things of the ancient past, well, you are wrong. The Philippines is one of the countries with the highest number of prostituted children. Apparently, we have a very active sex trade industry, and what's worse, most victims are children ages 12 and above.

We do have a law- RA 9308, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, but as with all regulations, the written law is useless without people brave enough to uphold it. And like in this case where the victims are powerless children, who would be brave enough to go against the influential people and stand up for these innocent kids?

No one. No one, until we all stand up together as one. You may say that you are just one and there is nothing you can do about it, well I am telling you that you are one, and you can definitely do something about it. Action begins with awareness. Open your eyes to the reality of what is happening to our country, to the women and children who are being robbed of the lives that they could have had. We should put a stop to the naiveness of society, because evil thrives when everyone turns a blind eye to it.

It is naive to say that there is nothing we can do about it when world organizations such as the US Aid and Australian AID are doing everything they can to let the Filipinos know, to put an end to Exploitation and Trafficking. to EXIT.

This may be just a concert to some, but this is definitely more than that. This is a light of hope for the children, for the future of our country.

someone please solve this.

A publisher contracts with an author to write a book about religion. As an atheist, the author's values prohibit him from capitalizing the word "God," but his publishers insist that he do just that.

After some thought, he figures out a way to do what his publishers ask without compromising his principles. When the book is written, it appears as normal as any other book on religion (i.e. not in ALL CAPS or in another language, etc.), and the actual word in question appears hundreds of times. Yet the author and his publishers are both happy.

How does he do it?

okay, this is so delayed na. nainggit lang ako kay valerie eh. waha XD

haha anyway, last saturday was probably one of the most unforgettable days of my life.

What happened:
1. The meeting time was 11. MOst of us came an hour later. musta naman ang filipino time db? XD
2. We were almost late so we couldn't commute anymore, so we were supposed to take 2 taxis. and then, as if it was heaven sent, an empty fx came along right as we stepped out into taft avenue. Grabe tlga. haha. but of course, mas mhal. ang yaman na nung driver in fairness. haha
3. We finally reached aliw theater, where we were gonna watch a ballet performance. *take note Lisa Macuja*. Niko, the ever reliable blockhead, was there waiting for people who didn't have their tickets yet. go niko! :D
4. THE BALLET PERFORMANCE WAS SIMPLY BREATHTAKING. i almost wish i took ballet lessons when i was a kid. XD haha but,as eric said, it's never too late to start. yeah right! XD
5. inside the theater, i had an overflowing rush of thoughts of someone. :( ang weird tlga nun. haha he's not remotely related to theater naman, so why? weird weird..
6. after the show, niko, again the ever reliable blockhead, *yes, that is supposed to be stressed* lined up to exchange our tickets for the ride all you can stub in star city. so, uknow, the 250 we paid was really worth it! :D
7. so then, it was riding time! of course, the very-motion-sick me was very KJ. i refused to ride anything outside bump car. XD i don't see it as being KJ though, im just trying to prevent taking unnecessary risks like headache, stomachache, and every other ache in my body, so uknow, understand me. XD it was fun watching my blockmates scream their hearts out in rides like magic carpet, SURF DANCE, and see how dizzy viking made them anyway. haha
8. besides the very short-lived bumpcar ride, i was also forced to walk inside 2 horror walks (in parallel to horror trains. XD) funny, because im also a scaredy person, so the whole time, i was holding to someone, ems i think, and keeping my eyes almost completely shut, and just screaming when somebody screams. tapos we walked really slow pa, kc 8 ata kaming girls na super magkkhawak sa isa't isa. hahaha
9. aun, at about 6pm, my feet were super aching na. and i was cold. XD
10. of course, the picture picture stuff would never disappear. haha
11. all in all, it was SUPER FUN. :)
12. i got home about 940. i was shocked to know na hindi ako pinagalitan haha
13. oh, and i forgot. kinalbit ako ni mcbodie. OMG OMG. haha. adik k tlga. XD XD nkktuwa lang kc super crush xa ng isa kong frend. ako konti lang naman. ;P joke lang hehe. :D

so many things happened..

i hate ultra-difficult exams that make you wish you had a brain memory with unlimited GB's..
i hate irritable librarians..
i hate the national library because books cannot be brought out..
